All quick wins

How to take bookings and payments online

  1. 01

    Choose a booking tool

For most small businesses, Google Calendar Appointments, Calendly’s free tier, or a WhatsApp-integrated booking link is enough to start.

  2. 02

    Set your availability

Block out your working hours and any days you don’t take bookings. Set a buffer between appointments so you’re not back-to-back.

  3. 03

    Add your booking link everywhere

Put it on your website, in your WhatsApp Business bio, on your Instagram and Facebook profiles, and in your email signature.

  4. 04

    Set up automatic reminders

Most booking tools send automatic email or SMS reminders before an appointment. Turn this on. It reduces no-shows significantly.

  5. 05

    Take a deposit upfront

Use PayFast or Yoco to collect a deposit at the time of booking. This commits the client and protects your time if they cancel last minute.
